Another slow start

Post by Zoltar » January 5th, 2019, 2:17 pm

It seems over the last several years that you only need to see the first 10 minutes of running time to see if we will win or lose. Why do we come out so flat so often? We dig a hole we can't overcome.

I hope I am wrong today, but this looks familiar.

Unless TT goes into a 10 minute funk this game was lost in the first five minutes of the game. This team is a mess.

I believe it was Jerry Tarkanian or Billy Tubbs that said, 'if we score 100 points we are not going to lose many games.' I liked to shoot so I like more scoring.

After a while, a team that comes out flat several times and/or can't hit free throws goes on the coach. You have to do a better job of getting the team ready to play and maybe even have a few set plays to get started in the game. Free throws are about confidence and technique.

Many years ago I used to thank the player that fouled me at the end of games telling them we needed the 2 points. I was sure I would make them.

Out on a snail's pace again and most likely to lose. May not get 10 in the 1st half.

We just need to make sure we have some set plays early.

Not lots of points yet but good to see we are scoring. On pace to score less than 60 and that will not win many games. Good to see Wade back.
