Texas Tech Game Thread
Lets get this started.
I watched TT twice this year. They looked good against Duke and bad against WVU. They have not really played anybody except Duke and Nebraskaa in the non con. One was a win, one was a loss. Starting three seniors with two of the transfers. Owens is a shot blocker. He and Odiase give them a lot of size in the starting line up. Should be an interesting game.

Dont have high hopes for this game. It was gonna be difficult with Wade and Stokes. Without them I suspect we trail from start to finish and lose by double digits. We really needed to win our opener, that one hurt a lot. Hoping to tread water at .500 until we get our starters back or at least 1 of them. But even .500 looks difficult now

It will be a challenge for sure. KSU's only hope is great defense, but even that may not be enough without some better luck in the shooting department. The silver lining is that this one may have been a loss no matter who was available to play for KSU. Tech is pretty good, but you never know in college basketball. I suppose pray for rain is out of the question.

I saw the last 5 minutes of the West Va game and Tech looked pretty darn good to me. Hold 'em to 60 and make some shots.

What is Stokes injury? I haven't read anything definitive about it or how he's healing.

I am a little surprised this has not been discussed more (maybe I just missed it), but in the last postgame press conference (at the 6:40 mark) Weber answers a question about Kam's injury by saying it is the same injury from LAST season, which sounds very worrisome to me. That was a stress fracture in his foot, not an ankle sprain as I recall. Weber did not sound encouraging about Kam's condition in my opinion.DrJamesANaismith wrote: ↑January 5th, 2019, 1:36 pmWhat is Stokes injury? Thanks and yes it's surprising that some of the local scribes haven't asked more or reported more. It's almost as if they've been asked to keep it on the down low for now.IStillLikeHarv wrote: ↑January 5th, 2019, 1:50 pmI am a little surprised this has not been discussed more (maybe I just missed it), but in the last postgame press conference (at the 6:40 mark) Weber answers a question about Kam's injury by saying it is the same injury from LAST season, which sounds very worrisome to me.
