I don't follow or refer to the ratings. But if they're like everything else in college hoops I'd expect that guys that sign with the Dukes of the world get an automatic jump up the ladder. And the corollary probably that guys that sign with the K-States of the world get a bump in the opposite direction. Like how good could he be if that's where he's signed? Maybe you guys who follow it closely have an opinion about this?
I’ve always wondered this myself, and I’m sure it’s true to a degree. This year though, the blue blood schools didn’t do as well as they’ve done with recruiting. UNC did well, and you could say KY did well (though I disagree), but the others are kinda meh.

Top 10 players are going to Ok State, USC, Stanford, Florida St, Gonzaga, Texas and Arizona St. Pretty interesting list of places. Only 2 are going to a blue blood which is Kentucky, and one is going pro.

Maybe the pay for play schools are playing it a little cautious this year and not offering quite as much money, giving the honest schools that work hard for recruits a little better chance.

This is more like it. The NCAA should work to establish parity and fairness in college sports. Now they may want to turn to football. I have little doubt that there is plenty of cheating there as well.

We have offered a scholarship to Gabec Wiznitzer, 6-11, 2021.
Considering reclassification to 2020.
Think Wade.

Sharp kid. Has offers from Clemson, Wake, St Johns, PSU and Nebraska. Reported he’s been in contact with Ohio State and Purdue. Would be willing to bet he stays near home.

I like him, but I don’t want anyone else for this year. Just roll the scholarship over to next year.

I’m not sure how great our chances are to get him, but I’d take him in a heartbeat. Legit 5’s with that type of ability don’t come around often for KSU. He’s a guy who could come in and contribute at that position all 4 years.

I agree with ya. I would take him in a heartbeat, but for the sake of not have a mass exodus in 2 years I think we should save the scholarship.

If he doesn’t reclass there’s a big chance he gets a lot better offers than he has currently.

I really have to think that CJ Noland, assuming he wants to follow his father, gets a spot on the team as a legacy. He would just have to decide before the spot(s) fill up.

So that currently only leaves 1 spot for 2021, unless they use it in 2020. Given how late it is for the 2020 class, I too would rather they save it and go all out selling the last spot to top 100 kids in 2021 unless they can get a 2021 kid to reclassify as noted above as there isn't much left in the current 2020 class.
