Re: Recruiting Thread
His JUCO stats are not impressive. He is listed at 6' 0", fwiw. Not sure why he is a preferred walk-on, but good luck to the young man.

I agree, if he is "preferred" then that's a bit of a head scratcher.IStillLikeHarv wrote: ↑July 16th, 2020, 9:19 amHis JUCO stats are not impressive. He is listed at 6' 0", fwiw. Not sure why he is a preferred walk-on, but good luck to the young man.

Excited to announce that I am committed to Kansas State as a preferred walk on. I want to thank Coach Flynn for everything he’s done for me along the way and I’d also like to thank Coach Weber for this opportunity

Also how tall is he?
6'0" 170lbs
35.7 FG%
26.3 3PT%
66.7 FT%
4.4 PPG
I'm not sure I would expect much out of him outside of garbage time given the combination of JUCO's not impacting right away for the most part, being a walkon, and a pretty full team.

Here is some youtube footage for Honas. I will note that he is much more athletic than I expected. He is supposed a strong defensive player, so he could be a valuable practice contributor. He needs to shoot better than he did at the JUCO level to play in meaningful games, but who knows. I think he can help in practice, and he is an extra guard.

CJ Noland, as mentioned in this thread, the son of former KSU Belvis Noland, has been building his offer list. He now has offers from KSU, Vandy, OSU, Texas A&M, TCU, SMU, Creighton, Houston, Austin Peay, Colorado State, Georgia Southern, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, San Diego, Texas-Arlington, Troy, Tulsa, UIC, UTSA
He is ranked by Rivals as the 34th best SG in the nation and by other sites as just outside the top 100 overall.
He would be a very great get if he follows his legacy.

Heard Webber told him this specifically and for practice.

Walk-on players don't count towards a team GPA

I didn't know that. but it's interesting that a squawk fan is monitoring k-state's recruiting board.
Why is there something rather than nothing?
