Recruiting Thread
Stephen Hurt has picked KSU over Wichita State, Arizona, Indiana, Ole Miss and Miami. We needed a big, and this guy is 6-8. We've been swinging and missing on player lately, and this is A HUGE GET.

Cool on Stephen Hurt - yeah we need some size and it is nice to actually beat some big name schools for a kid. Sounds like he'll have a couple years coming from JUCO, right?

I think he has 2 years of eligibility left. We needed a big in the worst way. Too bad he's not eligible this year for us. I think this year will be really tough. If we can make it to the tourney, it'll be a great year.genghisjon wrote:Cool on Stephen Hurt - yeah we need some size and it is nice to actually beat some big name schools for a kid. Wow that is huge! From everything I have read the kid was a stud and everyone basically thought that he was WSU or Miami's to loose so it is great to hear that Weber and Co. landed him. Now let's get a forward and guard and get them signed in the early period!
Wonder what the staff plans to do with Gip and DJ once Bolden and Hurt are on the court....? It will be interesting

We are going after Javon Bess hard!
He visited this past weekend, and Coach Lowery and Coach Weber visited today. Hope we get him! Looks like a MSU lean though. Being from OH, the Michigan schools are closer.

Yeah, it sounds like MSU has the lead but it is at least encouraging that we are in the running. I hope that we can finish off the class with some combination of: Bess, Nate Mason and Richard Lee... it wouldn't be a top 25 class but it would a solid class with kids that have big program offers.

Though break on Bess. It sounds like the staff has turned their attention to Treyvon Andres a 6'7" Forward from Co. Here is his highlight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-K_znjZMez0
I still think that we could piece together a solid class with Hurt and some combo of Harrell or Andres and Mason or Lee
