A person can be a socialist in a capitalist society, but a person is not allowed to be a capitalist in a socialist society.

I'm glad he lives in Manhattan when he can and that he is honored to be dad.
I found his comment about how the NBA different from College basketball, mainly spacing.

Sports in Kansas is in St. John, Kansas.
13h ·
Everybody is from somewhere. For NBA player Dean Wade, that somewhere is St. John, Kansas, located in Stafford County with a population of 1,228. As of last school year, St. John HS has an enrollment of 84 kids in grades 9 thru 12. Before he was a standout at Kansas State and made the NBA after going undrafted, Wade led the Tigers to three state championships in the 1A-I/2A classes and was a three-time classification player of the year from Sports in Kansas under head coach Clint Kinnamon. He was also named the Player of the Year in all classes from Sports in Kansas in 2015 as well as the Gatorade Player of the Year in Kansas. Wade, now 27 years of age, has been in the NBA since 2019 for the Cleveland Cavaliers after twice earning first team All-Big 12 at Kansas State in 2018 and 2019. Wade has started in 92 games in the NBA and played in 224 total games as a Cleveland Cavalier.#sportsinkansas photos: Chet Kuplen

Boy, they are high on Dean in Cleveland!!
https://kingjamesgospel.com/posts/2-fac ... -2024-25/2
They believe if Wade can stay healthy and believe in himself that he CAN make 3 point shots, he will be an elite NBAer that can take the Cavs to the finals.
They praise his physical gifts and real knowledge of the game.
I hope he puts it all together. Move over Jordy for the next Kansas phenom.

No disrespect to Dean, but I think Beebs might beat him to the punch as far as phenom goes. That kid has been impressive when I've watched, playing totally new position. Both quality representatives for KSU.

Not an argument because I don't think it is an apples to apples comparison and Beebs is doing amazing, but I have to say that although Beebs
might end up more decorated, it is just so rare that a Kansas kid and a KSU guy is a regular contributor to an NBA team that I feel like what Dean is doing is amazing. There has been a handful of Kansas/KSU guys playing OL in the NFL with Whitehair, Finney, etc, but when was the last Kansas/KSU guy to even sniff the NBA?? Steve Henson would be the guy that comes to mind and that was 30 years ago.

Heck, I have a hard time even coming up with Kansas guys in general that are regular contributors in the NBA even if they didn't go to KSU. Baker had a couple of seasons on the end of an NBA bench. Perry Ellis didn't ever end up on a roster that I can remember. The kid from Spearville that played at Kentucky had some time, Ojele spent some time with the Celtics, maybe someone from KC that is not coming to mind right now, but man it is pretty impressive for a kid from a 1A high school to be a guy that the talking heads of an NBA team says if he has a great year he could catapult the team to new heights!!

Great basketball player & also a great person, Dean Wade. An excellent representative of K-State as well for future MBB players to emulate. He's never given up on his dreams & earned his way into the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
