This article says Markquis is under contact for next year to the Toronto G League team, 905.
I don't know if that is good or bad.

I find it interesting that not much is being said by the media about David Castillo.
When he signed in the sping of 2023 he was rated a 5☆, but fell when he was injured and couldn't play AAU Shoeball.
The comments will be "where in the hell did ths guy come from"
From a local OK newspaper...
The explosive Bartlesville Bruin basketball player has committed to Kansas State, the winner of what could be called the Castillo Lottery. The 6-foot-2 junior is rated as a 5-star prospect and among the elite players nationally coming out of the Class of 2024.

If Castillo can stay healthy, I think he will see a lot of playing time this season, even as a true freshman. I think Dai Dai averaged around 20 minutes per game last season. Based on Coach Tang's early impressions of David, he could see even more playing time than Dai Dai did last season.SCKSCat wrote: ↑July 9th, 2024, 4:04 amI find it interesting that not much is being said by the media about David Castillo.

i have to wonder with tang's strategy if a freshman fits? this isn't bruce bringing along barry, kam and dean to a championship season. winning at uga with a freshman's fall away jumper. today it's about buying the best roster possible, ladened with upper classman, playing old.

Part of me is peaved we are not in any top 25 way to early poll.
I believe these turds putting these together hate Tang and think we are still employing Weber.
Well dumbasses can just take us for granted as we stomp people

Patience, young grasshopper... we'll be ranked in due time if we perform as expected/projected in the non-con. And start off the Big 12 slate with some quad-one/quality wins per the NET Rankings. On paper we've got the potential to be a great team. However, most of the team hasn't even played a game together.

On paper we have about the same potential as last years team after we signed Glover.KSUbetcha wrote: ↑July 14th, 2024, 3:30 pmPatience, young grasshopper... we'll be ranked in due time if we perform as expected/projected in the non-con. Guys like CJ and Max Jones will have to prove themselves at a higher level. And neither one was an all conference point guard at a lower level like Glover was. Carter had a higher offensive rating while playing in the Big 12.
Hausen could not crack the starting line up on a Nova team that made it to the NIT.
Hawkins got invited to the NBA draft camp. So did Tomlin who was on last years roster .
Achor looks like a great addition but will have to prove he is better than Kaluma.
DNG will be in his 5th year. How much better will he be than he was in his 4th year.
Dug will have to prove he is better than Perry.
We have potential off the bench with Castillo, Hausen, Fall, Mobi, Rich. But had potential last year with three highly ranked freshmen.
So we should be better if injuries and defections do not happen like last year and players live up to their potential.
Right now, projecting us to be in the top tier of Big 12 teams with ISU, Baylor,KU and AZ is way premature. But we have enough to hope we are at that level.

I would project that same starting 5 with the possible exception at the 2 guard that could be Hansen, CJ or Max Jones, or maybe even Castillo, although I have him as the backup 1 with some playing time at the 2, as well.
