Taking stock and dreaming about Cats 2024-2025 seasons
We only as of now have 3 players from last year returning.
David N’Guessan and Taj Manning are the only players left from the initial Tang team.
Coach Tang and staff have greatly improved our guard group. Battle would make it even better.
Bigs and wings are the needs now. We have 4 open scholarships if you assume Battle commits.
We need a dominant big. Hopefully that is Omoruyi.
A snazzy wing would be good also.
With guards who can run and pass, I see N’Guessan and Rich feasting in the paint and mid range.

As things stand now after the max exodus I didn't expect, with having a rotation from what we got we will be a bottom feeder team next year in the Big 12, but we might get to the 75% level.
The next few weeks will be critical.

I hope whatever the final roster looks like it is constructed to avoid 20 point losses at Bramlage.

The roster as it is today is pretty darn good.

The Keyonte year was magical but this group may have more talent.

True, True... But I don't believe Tang & company are done with building the roster yet.

I don't think Tang & Co. are ever done building the roster. 24/7/365.

So if you were Tang and you had to choose between Kaluma and Baba Miller for a remaining roster spot, who would you choose?
I would choose Miller. Some might argue for Kaluma because of his experience in the program. but everything, except the coaches, have changed and that argument is weakened. With Kaluma you know what you are getting though.
I am intrigued by Miller skills. I worry some about his mindset.

I think I would go with Kaluma. Like you said, he is familiar with the program. Yes, both he and Miller can play the wing and downlow, but if you compare the stats (see below), Kaluma has the advantage in most of the categories. Most concerning for me is that Miller shot just 29% from behind the 3-point line and only shot 56% from the FT line.SCKSCat wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2024, 9:43 amSo if you were Tang and you had to choose between Kaluma and Baba Miller for a remaining roster spot, who would you choose?

That being said, I would be happy with either one of them filling out one of our last two spots.

I would think that Tang after last season would be hesitant about blowing smoke about being top 10 or pushing we can compete for a National championship.
He knows things JoeFan does not about what is going in behind the scenes.
Snort!
