And I think just two in the second half!

IMHO, When N'G is really active (like tonight) driving and dishing, driving and taking a short shot, making himself viable for a lay in at the basket, or rebounding and a put back he forces the other team to guard him which opens up our other players. We have looked better with his improved play!! I like the energy and constant movement!!

The ref made the right call, and tackling a guy isn't a common foul. I was surprised that the ref called it because it pretty much cost UT the game.WildcatEngineer wrote: ↑March 13th, 2024, 9:22 pmNot to be a snob old ref but
The tackle foul on Tyler was called "Intentional". When the official crosses both forearms into an "X" that is the sign for intentional - two shots and the ball.
Seldom is that call made at the end of a game when the team behind is attempting to extend the game. My personal opinion is if the defender does not make a play on the ball and just grabs the offensive player an "Intentional Foul" should be called. Same with the "Hack A Shaq", when a player not possessing the ball is grabbed with the intent to make him/her shoot free throws an "Intentional Foul" should be called.
End of Rant
I was happy seeing both OU and UT lose early in the tourney. Don't let he door hit you on the ass.

And how many of those were unforced? 2 or 3? The emergence of Ames has been huge the last two games. Carter is better, in my opinion, when he doesn't have to handle the ball as much. When he is running and cutting he's tough to handle. Also my opinion, the bigs dribble too much too.
It was a great win. Iowa State and KState later today will be a great game with a great atmosphere.

I rewatched the second half last night.
Cam Carter grabbing defensive boards really stood out. 6 defensive rebounds in the second half and most of them he had to fight for.

He was a man on the boards, no doubt.xtrawildcat wrote: ↑March 14th, 2024, 8:07 amI rewatched the second half last night.

Ten turnovers & just two in the second half, was the key stat of the game, no doubt. K-State opponents have been cleaning up on turnovers while playing the Wildcats. Limiting turnovers, and rebounding the ball well against Texas proved pivotal in the victory over the Longhorns.

We aren't good dribbles. We are not the Harlem Globetrotters.KSUbetcha wrote: ↑March 14th, 2024, 10:03 amTen turnovers & just two in the second half, was the key stat of the game, no doubt. Good ball movement and someone with true ball handling skills at point guard made a difference regarding turnovers. Iowa State is ball slapper happy so don't stand in a spot and dribble... good passing though.
Hope RJ making a 3 opens up his floodgates.
McNair did not play a lot of minutes so I hope he has lots of energy.

these aftertakes are starting to be a fun duty.
1. dai dai had his coming out party, didn't he - 10 points, 3 assists seemed like more;
2. the ames' key though was zero turnovers - he handled the rock;
3. that frees up perry to go for 21 - ten for ten from the free line;
4. cam only has 2 turnovers gets 10 and 7 - he's a role player when state is good;
5. king arthur is good enough at 14 and 8 - but misses all four treys;
6. dng dominates with 13 and 6 - he's the glue guy - state goes as david takes them it seems to me;
7. twenty point swing in this one - texas was up ten in the first, k-state in the second;
8. interestingly, k-state gets twenty from their posts - will, david, colbert;
9. doug sirmons is the best ref in the game - not perfect - who is? - never afraid to fix the other dude's mistake;
10. hard to believe a win tonight doesn't put the cats in "the dance" regardless what mealy-mouthed lunardi says.
