Hard part of the non-con is now over. If the Cats just make three more 3-pt shots (only 4 made) 4 out of 28 Treys (14%) by KSU actually fell through the hoop. If we make just 3 more 3-pt shots (just 25%), then the Cats win. Miami made 12 out of 24 3-pt shots (50%) to win. That's the difference in the game folks. This team has heart, by not giving up & closing late. Once Tomlin is back in the fold by conference season, watch out.

Non con still has Villanova, a salty Wichita St and a Nebraska team that is currently 5-0. Haven’t really played anyone but we’ll find out how real they are before we get them as they play both Creighton and Michigan St before our game. But all will be good challenges.

Tang took complete responsibility for how they game planned and guarded, or lack of guarding Pack in the first half in his post game. Said it was all on him and the coaches helped come up with adjustments at half and the guys really played hard to give them a chance.

Also said Ames will be back next game and liked what they seen from Rich.

Yeah it looked like we completely lost him a few times. Good Lord I don’t care if he’s 8 feet behind the 3 point line….. get there!

We shot 14% in 3 point shooting, but they shot 50%+.
Bottom line reason for the loss.
So what happened to Perry? Is he not use to playing against Power 5 defenses? NTx played sloooow, is Tang’s pace too fast for Perry? He has had 2 bad games and both against power 5 teams with good guards.
He did play good defense the second half.
Did Larrenega show mercy on us?

It hurts not having Tomlin in there, but I'm glad Rich is getting some playing time/experience in his stead. Did Manning ever see the floor in the Bahamas Tournament?

No shame in losing to an outstanding Miami team, on a day when we are ice cold shooting from 3, plus missing several players. I loved how we kept playing hard to make it close(r) at the end. Our team will be fun to watch, especially as they develop and we get all the players back!

This why we gotta get betyer defensively. Quickly, before it costs us a tourney berth. We need to beat Nova and Wichita State. We're gonna have off nights. We've played 2 ranked teams and given up 80 plus points both times. That isn't gonna cut it. Living and dying by the 3 isn't going to win any championships and I'm.sure Tang knows that.

It seems Tang is working on Carter expanding his offensive game. Once he accomplishes that what will be the next point of emphasis? Possibly running the team and assists. Under Tang's tutelage Nowell took his game to new levels. Baylor always seemed to have outstanding guards during his time there. Will Carter be the next guy to lead us through Big 12 and tournament play?
