When I first saw we were put in the East and could not play in Des Moines or Denver or Kansas City I was selfish upset. Because those were spots I could drive to.

I was wrong. Playing in Madison Square Garden is going to be a memory!!. For the people who have not been there, it is in the heart of Manhattan Island. It is the center of New York City. About the only way you can get there is taxi, walking, or subway.
To each his own. Even if tickets were cheap, I wouldn't go to NYC. Not my cup of tea. Maybe our fans that do go can show that loser mayor that we are proud of who we are.

NYC is just like any other big city -- noisy, smelly, crowded, traffic jams, snooty, inhospitable.

I'll enjoy the GAMES from the comfort and quiet of my easy chair.

that's like bill walton talking about the truck stop schools. silly. you personally may not like it, but it's a great visit. broadway alone is worth the trip, much less the sweet 16. i'd love to go. but too damn cheap.

I've got the $$ to go, but wouldn't go to NYC if my trip was paid for.

I've never liked big cities and I've lived in a few in my lifetime. I'm too much of a country boy at heart.

But, I'm not being critical of those who love NYC. Good for them. Just not my cup of tea.

I would definitely go but I’m too imbalanced when it comes to duty toward my work. If I’d known they were going to get to the Sweet 16, I would’ve made plans.

I disagree. I despise NYC. Again, to each his own.

https://www.grandcentralterminal.com/

I had no idea the great structural work that was done above and below ground of Grand Central Station. The building is strong powerful and beautiful. The multi below ground floors are designed to bring in and take out thousands and thousands of people through their amazing subway train system.

New York City, especially Manhattan Island is different from any metro area I have visited. The first time I visited, I actually got upset when I realized so much of what I read and viewed came from a very very small area. American culture radiated from New York City.

I will say it has lost a significant amount of power in this century.

I would not want to live in NYC, but the one time I went, it was definitely fascinating and a place everyone should go at least once. Broadway was amazing, Central Park was cool, it just has a pretty cool vibe, but definitely filthy and over-crowded.

The historical sites in NYC interest me, but not bad enough to actually go see them.
