I think Self would like to have our rostsr instead of what he has.
On paper we are bstter with the addition of the transfers.

Which part would Self like to have? Our underperforming upperclassman, our near last place incoming recruiting class, our likely average transfers, our amazing free throw shooting team, our offensive powerhouse players (lol) or our walk-on who entered the transfer portal?

You tell me what part of this program that has gone 1-28 against Q1 opponents the last 2 seasons Bill Self wants.

the roster has been significantly upgraded since the season's close with the transfers out and in, coupled with a covid'less spring/summer to skill train last season's holdovers. anyone questioning that is just spitballing negativity.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

I remember being told I was being negative before this past season. Turns out I was just being realistic.

What the op means, when Coach Self gets caught cheating and he loses his recruits, he'd rather have ours...

KSU
Mike McGuirl - #518 in 2017
Mark Smith - #79 in 2017
Markquis Nowell - #226 in 2018
Kaosi Ezeagu - NR in 2018
Montavious Murphy - #183 in 2019
Ismauel Massoud - #148 in 2019
Carlton Linguard - #12 JUCO in 2020
Seryee Lewis - #381 in 2020
Luke Kasubke - #297 in 2020
Nijel Pack - #120 in 2020
Selton Miguel - #166 in 2020
Davion Bradford - #169 in 2020
Logan Landers - #225 in 2021
Maximus Edwards - NR in 2021

KU
Mitch Lightfoot - #116 in 2016
Marcus Garrett - #55 in 2017
Cam Martin - NR in 2017
David McCormack - #36 in 2018
Ochai Agbaji - #132 in 2018 - If he doesn't stay in the draft
Christian Braun - #130 in 2019
DaJaun Harris - #94 in 2019
Jalen Wilson - #53 in 2019
Joseph Yesufu - NR in 2019
Zach Clemence - #39 in 2021
KJ Adams - #71 in 2021
Bobby Pettiford - #88 in 2021
Sydney Curry - #8 JUCO in 2021

I don't necessarily think HS rankings really tell the story of some of the transfers. Some of them now would be rated higher (Yesufu, Martin, Nowell,Ezeagu) and some of them may be rated lower (Smith) then what they originally were.

Good Gawd, if Dean Wade and Barry Brown were walking through that door again, then absolutely. If things come together like they “might” be able to, this is a low seed tournament caliber team. But this isn’t a top 4 in conf team unless players really surprise and Bruce blows the top off of expectations, which again isn’t likely. This team is void of 1st team conf players for next season. Maybe these young guys will get there someday, but not until they’re upperclassman. Just my 2 cents
