Re: We have a better roster than KU
The New York pipeline was pretty good to us in Hartman era.
Maybe I am wishing for those good times again.
3 new players with NYC area connections

You have to wait til rosters are stabilized before having a clue who has a better roster. I totally expect it to be KU at the end of the day.
But Wilson and Obaji are signed up for the NBA draft so won't know if they will return until June or early July. KU is expecting Garrett to be gone but that can easily change if he doesn't find a pro team where he can make money.
The KU beat writer Newell had an interview I heard Monday where he said he expects KU to be a Top 5 team in the country next year. I don't see that at all but he certainly studies their additions in more detail than we do and also might know more about who is coming back.
But, this is a good thread for basketball discussion. Thanks
Also, thanks to AJcat for the recruiting ranks of both teams. Maybe the most telling thing about that is KU is not signing the high level guys it used to. (But unfortunately, that may be better for them in the long run. Fringe NBA players who have to stick around longer like Abaji)

I'm pleased with the transfers coming in, but you will not find a person on the planet not wearing purple shades that thinks K-State has a better roster than KU.
KSU will be preseason picked for 8th (possibly 7th) next year in the B12. None of that really means anything, but it will be indicative of what others think about KSUs roster.

Why is there something rather than nothing?

Finally we have a coach who can recruit.
Southwell helped land some quality players.
Mawien was considered the catch of his class in the end. Boy we have taken big steps foward.
