This kid thanked God for coming to KSU. I am ready to smite other teams.

Wake only played 22 games, and they started with three big men. One of the big men went down after a couple of games (he was averaging 11 ppg), and another one (not much good) barely played from February on, so Massoud had to play out of position at the five much of the time in the second half of the season. Wake was 6-8 at the time, and ended up losing their last 8 games to finish 6-16. Wake was a disaster from early February on.gdgjr78 wrote: ↑April 14th, 2021, 4:52 pm
He started the season well shooting then his FG% and 3P% took a nosedive. The last half of the year 5.7 ppg and 23% from 3. If he’s the player from the first half of the year he’s an upgrade over A Gordon. If he’s the player from the 2nd half of the year it’s probably a wash.

Beat me to it. Was wondering the same. Is his conditioning poor? Foul prone? You'd think he'd have been logging 30 min under those conditions.

So can you explain A Gordon's struggles on KSU being a disaster pretty much all year? Look I wanted KSU to add some shooters because this team couldn't put the ball in the basket last year and although these transfers appear to be good athletes none of them have impressive shooting %'s. It's hard for me to see this team really taking a step forward when it's still a roster largely devoid of good shooters.IStillLikeHarv wrote: ↑April 14th, 2021, 6:18 pmWake only played 22 games, and they started with three big men. Unless we spend a lot of time watching Wake Forest game film, it is pretty impossible to know what Massouds potential is. No doubt the coaches have watched Wake game film.
The way Wake Forest finished the year, they must be having some concerns about their new coach Steve Forbes.

Antonio didn't play out of position at all last season, so no you can't explain his poor shooting that way.gdgjr78 wrote: ↑April 14th, 2021, 6:54 pm

I don't mean to be negative, but it's like you haven't looked at the numbers at all. AG is 18 of 81 from three for a career 22.2% average. Massoud is 69 of 190 from three for a career 36.3% average. They are not in the same universe as outside shooters in their two-year college careers.
Only one player, Pack at 40.5%, shot better from three last season than the career averages for Nowell, Smith, and Massoud. They are a dramatic improvement on outside shooting for this team based on what they have done in the past.

I don't know if this has been asked before on here, but could there be an issue with the shooting background? Yes we have had some guys that were lights out, but it seems like most have shot poorly, I didn't play, so I really don't understand some of it. I also haven't been to a basketball game at Bramlage since I lived there 28 years ago, so there might have been some changes inside. Man Bramlage is old!
