Could it be a sign that Weber is planning to go to more four-guard starting lineups next season?Puffdad wrote: ↑April 3rd, 2021, 12:19 amAgreed. I hope I’m wrong and he’s happy as a lark but I would be somewhat shocked. And you got Mike in there too who they asked to come back. And Selton. 5 guys splitting time for two spots that are used to 30 minutes a game spells trouble unless Bruce knows they’ll be on the injured list.

Very true. It looks risky and Bruce/Shane have to be ready to cut bait. However I can see it working, especially if you look at it from a 3 guard perspective. We could run up tempo with Mike, Nijel and Marquis at the same time with 2 bigs, we could go small ball with a 4 at the 5 and Selton at the 4. If this guy is really good we can find a way to utilize him. Also we can substitute freely and play all out D. You never know where trouble will arise. I had no clue Cartier Diarra would rebel and leave the team. Just part of the game. I am hopeful Nowell will gel with the team and the coaches and be a very positive catalyst and instant offense off the bench.

cartier did really well for himself after leaving, didn't he. geezzz.
missouri has lost both their starting guards, smith here and pinson probably to arkansas.
these guys must not like 'boiler up.'
as for nowell, sounds like he's going to at least bring some excitement going alongside nijel.

You play Nowell and Nijel together and Nijel is going to be guarding someone much bigger than him the vast majority of the time. You want your best offensive player expending that much energy on the defensive end and potentially getting physically beat up?

I wonder how Muggsy Bogues at 5-3 was able to guard NBA guys? Sometimes little guys can be very disruptive and have learned how to compensate for vertical challenges.
