Don't need 2 from the Squawks on 1st team offense. ;)

And who is throwing the ball to their WR or blocking for Pooka?

Exactly, and if they don't have a serviceable qb(which they don't) it won't matter.

Macvattie is a capable QB with a strong arm and is fairly mobile, which should make him decent in their rpo schemes. KU will score some pts, but i doubt they will be able to handle the physicality in the trenches. 3-9 if all 12 games are played. 1-8 if conference only.

MacVittie has attempted 1 pass, an INT, at KU. He was not very accurate in JUCO either. That's assuming he gets the start and not Kendrick, who is more of a runner and won't test teams down field. A lot of their success in the passing game last year was due to those WRs either getting behind the D, or making great catches, hence why 1 is on the preseason team.

Their line couldn't handle the pressure last year and they had a pretty good tackle that was drafted into the NFL. Their projected line, as of now:
Earl Bostick - LT - Has never started at LT and played D last year and ST and TE the 2 years prior.
Malik Clark - LG - 22 games started at LG. Likely be the strength of the OL
Api Mane - C - 2 career starts at C
Adagio Lopeti - RG - 4 starts at RG
Antione Frazier - RT - 3 starts at RT, 2 years ago

Teams are going to certainly load the box and try and shut down Pooka and the RPO game and make KU try to win by passing the ball over them. We will see if they are successful with that.

I hear ya. I'd wager on Macvittie though. You gotta have a deep ball threat and Kendrick's arm is not a D1 arm. MacVittie has the edge there and is faster than people think. Please don't misconstrue what im saying. They're not going to be a good team, but with their system, along with Pookah, Parchment, and Robinson (3 pretty talented skill players), they will put up some points unless they're OL is the worst ever.

Media released their preseason poll and Cats are 7th. That’s roughly a 4-5 conference record, right?

I think more favorably of KState with a senior QB, decent weapons, and some solid returning defenders.

Just hoping they play!! Safely of course.

K-State could be really good. Solid almost everywhere. O-line is the biggest question mark and the coaches think we will be good there. Some big play guys at wide outs and several good young backs. Skylar will be one of the best in the league. D should be solid with a potential all defensive player in Wyatt. Linebackers should be very good. D backs good, experienced corners. Hopefully we have 3 or 4 decent d-tackles to clog and plug. Not a game we can't win.
