he must be smart given some of those other offers: air force, army, columbia, navy.
Why is there something rather than nothing?

FYI, if his measurements are accurate, 6'1", 175lbs would make him the the 3rd tallest scholarship WR just an inch below Knowles and 3 inchs below Taylor. That is before he has even played his SR season of highschool football. Could easily still have some growth left in him.

Yep. And ALL of that makes me fall back to the reality of "show me the ink when it is dry on the LOI". Because until then, he ain't committed to anyone.

True but for years there were cries to get in on guys early. Now we are and some are saying it doesn't mean anything. I think it is great but I know its not set in stone. What is?

I am 100% in agreement with the early looks. Gotta' start early to get in on the interest level of kids. No doubt. I'm not knocking the approach other than the look-at-me generation that has been created by social media and all it's perils. I'm just stating what everyone knows already. These kids are swayed by the smallest thing anymore that it doesn't really mean a damn thing until they are signed, sealed, and delivered. Even then, with the transfer portal and the upcoming money grab for likeness, etc, you/we are about to see a major change in "college" athletics as we have known it. And it isn't going to be a good one.

As stated above, same highschool as Joshua Youngblood, his former teammate, as they likely saw him when scouting Youngblood and have had a relationship ongoing for a while. While he very well could de-commit, as he hasn't even seen the campus yet, but that connection could be beneficial in keeping him around and, as of now, he doesn't have a lot of blue blood offers that are really better then K-State.

“I mean it definitely helps to know one of my good friends is there and doing well,” Garcia II said of Youngblood.
