I do believe we use the American league and not the National league standard for attendance. AL is paid and NL is turnstile count. NL even has 'total in house'. That counts the vendors and the players.

2/3 is not accurate I agree. There are games where it looks like 45Kish though and it’s reported higher. Hard to believe that’s all the corporate stuff etc. I don’t sweat it because comparatively to other 8 win programs, we are still above the mean.

I definitely 100000% agree on the lack of branding nationwide though. Programs like TCU, ISU, WVU are still bigger brands than KState and that is disturbing. I’m hopeful this new staff can change that.

how are you measuring that?

Sorry, should have said that’s anecdotal based on high profile recruits and general “it” factor. I’m cool with disagreement but I always refer back to my story from the 2015 (2014 season) Alamo bowl. I was out in San Antonio and I asked some 4 and 5 stars (the All American game was the day after ours I believe?) about KState and they laughed hysterically at my question. A 9-3 team at the time.

we have one of the best qb's in the country headed here next year. snyder had run his course after 1.0. he brought some highly-rated guys here before retiring the first time. el roberson, jonathan beasley, biesel, murphy, bishop, kelly, others. prince didn't help. snyder managed his way through the second tenure. klieman is just getting started. isu is 1-10 presently v. k-state.

I am amazed KU's numbers are that high. They are making plans to allow 15,000-16,000 this year which should be more than enough.

ku has many basketball tie-ins to their football ticket scheme. meaning, if you don't buy a football ticket you don't get in afh. so, that's 15,000 right out of the chute. those football seats oftentimes go empty.

It's things like this that just perplex me. Packed stadium, top 25 facilities, winning tradition, P5 conference, #1 college town (twice now, I think) etc.... but we are recruiting on the level of schools that show up 60-90 on this and have garbage facilities in comparison. I know location has much to do with it, but it often makes me wonder if we have a portfolio of all of the above to open up and show kids and parents in their living rooms. I'm being serious here. Not many other programs have what we have as consistently as we have it. I've been saying for years that KSU/Manhattan is very, very underrated and not sold enough by our coaches. If they don't walk in with a folder full of this stuff (pictures, polls, rankings) with a comparative chart for other schools comparative schools, then they are truly missing the boat.
There is a ranking for everything. Everyone else has the same data showing they are great too.

Prince didn’t help? Didn’t he bring on all the guys Snyder 2.0 had success with? Some might say it started back down hill when the Prince talent dried up. In hindsight it sure looks that way.

Huh? On our Big 12 championship team in 2012, here is a list of major contributors not signed by Ron Prince.
Arthur Brown
Adam Davis
BJ Finney
Chris Harper
John Hubert
Tyler Lockett
Cornelius Lucas
Ryan Mueller
Tramaine Thompson
Justin Tuggle
Tre Walker
Cody Whitehair
Meshak Williams
Ty Zimmerman
Braden Wilson
And oh.... The Heisman trophy runner up, Collin Klein was signed by Prince, but it was solely the way Snyder used him that put him in NY for the ceremony and us holding the Big 12 title.

Prince.... LOL
