"Tight" end Wheeler arrested

Post by ToledoCat#3 » May 18th, 2020, 2:28 pm

Apparently, our tight end Wheeler got "tight" and "caught."

Looks like used a fake id and got a beer.

From what I heard, he was taking a piss outside, minding his own business. Cop saw him, checked it all out, found the fake ID, beer.. leading to the arrest. Just relaying what I heard.

Cue "Program is out of control" comments over a minor drinking beer with a fake which no one has ever done in college.

No judgemental comment from me. I was "tight" and under-aged all thru my freshman year and just irresponsible from there on to graduation. Back then the legal age was 18. Wheeler will pay an in-house price for his indiscretion.

Spoke with a relative of his and this is correct. I was also told he turned 21 yesterday, so he was 23 hours away from being of legal drinking age. (Btw, having a 21st birthday on a Monday sucks as it happened to me quite a while ago) Cop might have just ignored it if he had handed him his real id, but we will never know.

This is a complete "so what" to me. I do suspect Sammy will see some stairs in his near future though.

I had a similar experience driving about 2 hours before turning 16. Long story but multiple offenses. They police called my parents. My Dad and the police officer got a good chuckle out of it. They let me off leaving me to my Dad's punishment. In the end I grounded myself. Dad just thought it was funny that I was so stupid.

It’s a thin line between a fake ID and a felony ID theft.
