Texas kid that camped at TCU as a SO and JR and that was his dream school but they never offered. Moved to Rose Hill, KS and picked up a KSU offer and committed. Well here comes TCU a week or so ago with an offer, and now he decommits. Another top 5 KS player leaving the state, although he was only in KS for a year. We know where this is heading next, I would put good money he is in purple next year, just TCU purple.

Yeah, I was kind of expecting this. TCU was his "dream" school. Best of luck to him.

He was a high ranked lineman. Sure, we'll recruit and sign more. I thought he had a lot of upside and helped build a solid base to the start of the 2021 class.

Are recruiting misses and de-commits becoming a recurring theme?

"De"Shawn "de"committed. "Bolt"icoff bolted. Maybe its all part of the grand scheme. I'm not talking the force here but something even more powerful.

I really hope the kids can start visiting campuses again sometime soon. Policies can be put in place that one must wear a mask and practice social distancing, extra hand-washing, etc., if people are worried about spreading the virus. Getting the kids on campus is huge in recruiting.

I also think it is time to let our current athletes return to campus for their summer workouts. Again, the workouts would likely have to be modified, but could still be done relatively safely.

I doubt it will be allowed since potential students are not being allowed on campuses period. They are doing virtual orientation etc. They will soon be having a virtual move-in day at the dorm.

Oh well. A few bigger things in life going on right now than a kid backing out of a commitment. I honestly don't even care right now. I'll say this. I wish social media would go the "F" away for multiple reasons, but these look at me announcements are getting so pathetic.
