Decline to play teams that hit ours for transfers.

They need us to pad their wins; unless they want to just play each other.
Like Zuber going to MSU??

But I'm pretty sure there was a long thread on him, with MSU fans chipping in, when I told them they shouldn't expect much out of him. MSU fans disagreed adamantly and told us he would be a starter and a star on the team with MSU's potent passing game. 14 receptions for 211 yards and 2 TDs doesn't seem like much of an impact.

ya, zuber kinda was the exception to our way of thinking that this transfer rule will help k-state. i see more arthur browns and chris harpers than zubers resulting from the one-year transfer rule.

zuber leaving was a big disappointment at the time but probably worked in favor of josh youngblood. a huge addition by subtraction.

But as was rumored, Zuber was facing a suspension for at least 1/2 of the year. If that is true, I doubt he transfers if that wasn't going to happen. He was a P5 starter and ended up riding the bench, not even at a blue blood, but just another P5.

If immediate eligibility happens it will be the beginning of the end of competitive college sports.
Let me add that yes, the beginning of the end may already be here. This may be more like the final nail in the coffin.
I think competitive sports is relative. Think along the lines of LeBron James' decision to go to MIami, or Kevin Durant to Golden State. Players will start converging on a targeted school for a run at a national championship that season.

Maybe LHCBS foresaw this which is why recruitment became less a factor. It doesn't matter where a player starts, it's where they end once they have developed and become acclimated to college life. Yet, I for one don't think this will pass since the NCAA has to see the consequences.

The NCAA is barely a viable organization at this point. And it’s the members that are watching the train leave the station. The NCAA was helpless re NIL. The same will occur with the new transfer rules. For these reasons, I cannot see KU getting hammered the way we’d hope.
