lots of coaching turnover downriver ...

Post by tmcats » February 14th, 2020, 1:35 pm

Originally hired by former KU head coach David Beaty in 2016, Hull played a primary role in the Jayhawks establishing a recruiting pipeline of sorts to his native New Orleans and the surrounding area.

With Hull’s connections and reputation in the area, KU successfully brought in players from Louisiana such as Mike Lee, Daylon Charlot, Malik Clark, Pooka Williams Jr., Corione Harris and Takulve Williams.

And now their Director of Recruiting Operations, Tyler Olker, is leaving and accepting the same position at SMU. KU staff is dropping left and right.

I bet Dearmon is gone after one year if the offense is productive and he gets an OC opportunity from any breathing team.

My KU friends (one with some inside info) say the rumor is that Les and KU have been planning for his exit after this year for health reasons (dementia). I think everyone bolting is a case of people wanting to get ahead of the game.

My prediction is that it is going to turn into a big ol problem for Mr. Long. Watch the undisciplined BS start up with so many new coaches, Les on his way out, Pooka knowing he's entering the draft after this year, and another dismal season. Back to lack of institutional control issues. Just my prediction.
