well, if he's leaving better to lincoln than austin. and i'm glad to see it, frankly. he's way too good a coach to be in a 'shuffle-papers' job.

This is an adventure I felt he should have taken years ago if being a HC was/is his goal.

Sounds like it is the same job he has here. If he wants a head job, he just needs to drop down and take a head job if it was available. Even if it meant down to the FCS level which is probably where he would have to go. The name alone would at least get an interview. Jumping around as an analyst isnt going to get there if that is the goal. No real data, but I could see or maybe they are already are, teams are not having a "special teams coach" anymore. Like Ksate is doing.

many teams do not have st coach. he might be going to nebraska because he'll have more influence there than here. he was pretty much the dry teat on this staff. very awkward.

He likely would need to just get a coaching job if he wants to be a coach in any respect. Consultants are the route to get a coaching job. The NCAA limits the number of coaches. So, they add "consultants" and what that means is they aren't supposed to be coaching kids on the field. I am wondering if he got to know Frost the year he was coaching here as a GA. I guess I would doubt it because that was the Prince years where Sean wasn't around. Can't remember what he was getting paid for.

So, when Frost gets canned after next season, is he back here begging to "consult" again?

better lincoln than austin. i wonder though if the positions are comparable, i.e. analyst v. actual coach?

I wonder how Nubbers feel about that. I have a feeling that many of them cannot get that bad taste of losing to the 'Cats back in the day. Especially that first one.

Good for Sean, he is still geographically very close to Manhattan and family members, gets to do what he apparently loves to do, and he is off our payroll. I had a lot more respect for him after he demonstrated some fire in the Iowa State game when he went ballistic on the side lines and got penalized, it fired up our whole team and got the attention of the officiating crew just like Huggie works the BBall officials LOL.
