It is always fun to see the excessively exuberant Nubber fans bluster and blather about their up coming dominance EVERY preseason only to be totally crushed by their expectations. Couldn't happen to a more deserving fan base.

I do believe that Frost will get it going. The contract extension sounds like some form of patience from the powers that be in Nubbland. I have a feeling that there are entrenched, influential Husksters that make things difficult for all involved.

Pick 'Em

Oh, but I was told last week that we shouldn't "crow" about the Nubs struggling. LOL... Most KStaters with more than a 20 year history of following the Cats closely, get the hatred. The millennials probably don't, unless they're parents did a great job of passing it down.

That's like lecturing someone not to enjoy it when KU cheating basketball starts struggling. Screw that. I'll enjoy every minute of it when cheating scumbags struggle.

lived and worked 'among 'em' for over 20 years. nice folks, but extremely unsufferable. could not for the world understand why anyone would 'want' to be a Wildcat fan (or fan of any other team). At the time, that state was one huge 'echo-chamber'. in many ways led by Tom Shatel and other sports writers.

one of my good friends (an KSU alum) used to go to all the games and against NU would fly the KSU flag upside down. IN his words: it will always be so until we beat them.

Personally, when folks talk about how we 'ought to play NU' again, my blood boils. we were so far beneath them for the entirety of my life that no way should this be a thought.

if they really wanted to play us they'd not have left the conference. end of story.

at the end, we were 6 (count 'em SIX) overturned-upon-booth-review of on the field calls during a final drive on a Saturday afternoon in Lincoln from winning 5 of last 7 games from the nubsters. and that with a freshman QB.

They left the conference because they saw the writing on the wall. They were becoming less relevant in football. Doesn't seem to have worked out for them which of course makes me happy.

They went to the B1G for academics, not sports.
