On September 12, 1862, the state of Iowa was the first to accept the terms of the Morrill Act which provided the funding boost needed for the fledgling State Agricultural College and Model Farm (eventually renamed Iowa State University of Science and Technology). Love Land Grants. Michigan State was established in 1855. The Morrill Act was based on the Michigan State model. I have always thought that all the Land Grants should form their own Conference. Even today admission standards at the Land Grants are more populist in many states. What about a Central States league with these teams?? Have a Farmageddon Bowl.

Iowa State
Kansas State
Oklahoma State
Missouri
Minnesota
May be go west and add Colorado State, Wyoming, and Montana State.
Stay away of east (Ohio State, Penn State, West Virginia) or South (Texas A&M).
