K-State vs. WVU

Tough loss yesterday to UT, but now it's time to turn our focus to West Virginia. Definitely a winnable game, but we can't take these guys lightly. Their QBs threw for a combined 498 yards yesterday against TTU. Our OL and DL need to re-establish themselves this week. Hopefully we get our injured RBs back to full (or close to full) strength.

I linked a video from our first visit to Morgantown, when WVU was highly ranked. Enjoy!

This is a game KSU should expect to win soundly. WVU is showing continued improvement, but KSU is the better team, playing at home, etc. We are better in all 3 phases of the game, offense, defense, and ST. It all starts with controlling the line of scrimmage. Win the line of scrimmage, win the game, just that simple. WVU is just about the same caliber as KU, just slightly better. This is a game I expect to win by at least 3 TDs. The game plan would be simple - dominate in the trenches, take what the defense is willing to give, execute, and win the dang day. Just get to 7 wins and continue to improve. Lets get to 7-3 this coming Saturday.

What where the injuries in Saturday's games? I wasn't able to watch real close. I do know that there was the targeting call, but I don't recall the receiver. Was he concussed?

If we are healthy, the Cats win against WV.

The WR was Gill and I think he is fine and actually played later in the game. Don't recall any other significant injuries in this one. Hope we have Gilbert back. Interesting that he ran off the field at KU looking just fine. Not sure what his injury is. Would be great to have a healthy Gilbert and Brown for the last 3 games.

Having one game under their belts will certainly help the newbies in the secondary.

Last year WV kicked our butts 35-6 in Morgantown. In fact they've beaten us 3 games in a row. 'Cats need to show some resolve and rebound from the UT disappointment. Bear down and kick their tails, Wildcats!

Thanks for the video reminder, Stlcatfan! I was there for that game. It was awesome, so much fun. The fall colors on the hills were beautiful and so was the outcome of the game.
And, found their fans to be quite polite when we were walking out after we had beaten them. I hope now that their fans that do make the long trip will find Wildcat fans to be polite and friendly to them.

That game was so much fun. The KSU section was so loud. I like to think my drunk ass was a part of it.
