Recruiting in "upper Scandanavia"
KSU has zero recruits from Coach K's old stomping grounds in "upper Scandanavia." Not complaining at all about Cats' recruiting so far, just wondering if Coach K's laying off recruiting the Dakotas, Minnesota, and Wisc out of respect to his successor at NDSU?

those ndsu guys were misses by the likes of iowa, nebraska, minnesota, and wisconsin. i don't believe he's looking for leftovers now.
Why is there something rather than nothing?
1st, it's Southern Canada not whatever you called it.
B. I will agree with you, what P5 school would would even think about a Carson Wentz or the types of players who buried I-Oh-Whey St at Ames, Iowa, the same year KSU barely beat them at MHK. God forbid we got players who beat 11th ranked Iowa at Kinnick Stadium.
Players on a team that that P5 and G5 teams Do Not Want To Play Any More.
Yep, don't want any of those players messing up KSU.

2. EAGLES: QB CARSON WENTZ, NORTH DAKOTA STATE
Judge Farrell: Loss. Wentz wasn’t on anyone’s radar and not even in our database so this was clearly a miss by Rivals and by every FBS coach in the country.

4 from KS and 4 from TX and 1 from MO. At NDSU, it would be hard to get TX players as that isn't in their footprint and they wouldn't play anyone in TX for their family to see. K-State, getting in to TX, means they don't have to go up north to fight the Big 10 for recruits.

"like i said, i doubt ck recruits any youngsters who aren't rated to k-state. " Too late! TE Christian Moore out of California gave the Cats the nod and he has absolutely 0 stars beside his name. California, Florida, and Texas all have so many athletes that is not difficult to totally overlook a few every year.

It doesn't help Moore that he plays TE, which like FB, is not one of the "sexy" roles that get a lot of evaluation.iowa_wildcat wrote: ↑June 11th, 2019, 1:33 pm"like i said, i doubt ck recruits any youngsters who aren't rated to k-state. K-State is also going after some KS players, which some have no stars next to them as well because recruiting sites don't really pay attention to KS recruits outside of the top 10-15.

I highly doubt the staff is staying out of the Dakotas due to respect for his old job. He now represents KSU and has to do what is in Kansas State's best interest no matter where the players come from.
If there is a stud in ND, I would imagine CK would take charge of that recruitment himself (for the most part), because who has a better name than him in North Dakota.
That being said, the Dakota's do not produce a ton of D1 talent. It definitely happens, but to put an emphasis on recruiting the great North would be a waste of time and resources better used elsewhere.
