When I lived in Ames, IA, I was always struck by the wisdom of the AD in how ISU handled women's BB games. They cut tix prices, cut concession prices, and actively promoted women's games as an affordable form of family entertainment. The games were often nearly sold out in Hilton, tons of families in attendance, and lots of concessions and ISU gear sold. This policy has/had both short and long range payoffs -- to wit, ISU women's games attendance and fan enthusiasm. Also, comes much closer to paying Fennelly's and staff's salaries, and scholarships.
