Sean Snyder
I don't know if this was posted anywhere on here or not, but, Sean Snyder is listed on the Roster as Senior Special Teams Analyst.

i'm reasonably confident that part of bill's departure agreement was a job for sean in the organization. not sure why ck didn't make him special teams coach?
Why is there something rather than nothing?

Because you can only have so many coaches. CK at NDSU doesn't employ a coach who's only duty is special teams and that role is shared by several coaches. That allows for him to add a coach in another area. Also, a coach can recruit, while an analyst can not, so maybe CK wanted his own coaches out recruiting instead of Sean. Sean can still help the special teams though so he can still help the program in that way.

Smart move really. Sounds like he'll be heavily involved in special teams but without the "coach" tag, which is fine with me. Overall, Sean has been one of the best at ST, so having him be a part of KSU in that role, should be a good thing.

If seems to me that that Sean gets hammered by fans for things that may or may not be true. The only thing I know to be true is we have been pretty damn good at special teams since Snyder came back.

Does anyone know what the rules are on Analysts? I believe I read something that said an Analyst cannot have contact with players, otherwise they count against the 10 coach rule.

These staff members do not count against N.C.A.A. bylaws restricting Football Bowl Subdivision teams to nine assistant coaches, a figure that will rise by one next year. And they must abide by rules barring them from activities only coaches may perform, including coaching athletes, actively coaching during games or practices, and recruiting off campus. But for the programs that can afford them, they provide an invaluable service.
“They’re involved in the organization,” Saban said in January. “That’s where they make their contribution, in the coaching meetings. They’re not really allowed to be involved with the team.” NYTimes

Anyone ever stop to think that Sean may not want to be heavily involved? He's fine financially, and maybe he's ready for a "life".
