no spring game ...

MANHATTAN, Kan. – En lieu of a traditional spring football game, Kansas State will instead use its final spring workout on Saturday, April 13, at 1 p.m., to hold a Spring Showcase interactive practice where fans can watch drills, hear from the new coaching staff and take part in events on the concourse of Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

Why is there something rather than nothing?

I'm gonna miss the spring game with old friends, especially if the weather is springlike.

Curious first post Preacher Cat and couldn't he find other ways to put his stamp on the program besides eliminating the spring gamePreacher_Cat wrote: ↑March 4th, 2019, 5:59 pmI like the idea. Coach putting his stamp on things and beginning his era his way.
Even Ron ##**# Prince didn't eliminate the game but made plenty of format changes.
I'm going to bet we are the only Power 5 team without a spring game, lets hang a banner for non-conformity.

Been here for many years. Formerly posted as KS cowman..... changed occupations and lost my login info..... so drop the newbie crap....... I support the coach in this, change is good. His job is to recruit, coach, and win.... pleasing fans and upholding Snyder traditions is not his job

I wonder what the players feelings are about this.? I know the potential for injuries and all but one would think that having a spring game would be something the players would look forward to after going thru all the practices.....

Maybe this will be similar to Coke about 30 years ago when they said they were eliminating original Coke. The uproar could be felt in China. Great advertising. Fan base energized. Original stayed.
