Neal Brown and Troy win 10+ for 3rd straight year.

Hey the decision has been made and I hope Klieman has tremendous success, but with it appearing Venables and Leavitt were not going to be the guy, Brown was my favorite.

And they say Brown thinks next year will be his best team yet. Could be looking to play a New Years six game. And if he has the success he’s had again, next year he will be at a P5 school.

Something interesting - Khalil McClain, the Hutch JUCO WR that was verbally committed to K-State, without a coach, before flipping to Troy, is the highest recruit in Troy's class and 10th highest Troy recruit all time in 247sports history.

We’ll see in the near future if ksu made a good decision or not, regardless I like Klieman and think he can win here

I would have been fine hiring Brown (he was in my top 3 or 4 choices), but I think AD Taylor made the right decision in going with Klieman. IMO, if Brown came here and started having success, I think he would have left us for the first SEC program that came calling (kind of like Littrell and OU).

Brown has his roots in SEC country and I think that is where he is destined, assuming he continues to have coaching success. Klieman is a Midwestern guy and I believe is more likely to stay at a place like K-State than Brown.

agree with stl on this. although brown would have been far better than the litterbox (a fraud) brown has zero ties to the midwest. right off the bat, ck takes jax dineen out of lawrence due to previous connections. that was impressive. :fistbump:

and btw, i look for both the lawrence guys to star here. jax is a human wrecking ball with an attitude.

Yikes! The other teams are afraid of him.

I was just as impressed with his plays at LB as I was with his plays at FB. That guy pursues relentlessly and sticks people pretty hard. He reminds me of some of our LBs from the 90s and early 2000s.

There’s a lot to be excited about. Big body. Quick feet. Nice lateral movement. Decent speed.

I would have to agree. This kid is impressive. You can tell he loves to hit and loves the game of football. When he runs the ball kids kind of shy away and arm tackle, they know they’re about to get plowed!! He kind of reminds me of Winston in a way. I hope he sees the field pretty early on, he definitely has what it takes! I’m excited about him.

Such a dainty little fellow with an attitude. Love the way he slobber knockers anything in front of him.
