Thanks. Then it could be like our current defensive secondary coaches, where we have one coach for safeties and another for CBs.Westriverbison wrote: ↑January 11th, 2019, 9:00 pmAt NDSU Klieman had separate coaches for the dtackles and dends.
I guess the only other question for me is how the coaching of special teams gets divvied up? Having a dedicated special teams coach seemed to pay dividends for us over the years with Sean Snyder leading that unit, last season not withstanding.

Klieman has always designated position coaches to also coach special teams. Yes, different GAs may be actively involved in special teams coaching also.

Looks like it's official, Ted Monachino is gone. Be interesting to see where Klieman goes from here.

Why is there something rather than nothing?

So, are we going to have anyone that can tell a kicker what they are doing wrong mechanically? Or can Sean help with that? that is my concern. I don't care about the coverage schemes, etc for special teams as that is not rocket science. It is just about practicing the schemes. Giving time and effort into it, but if we have kickers that have no idea how to fix their mechanics, who is going to help them on that?

I wonder if Klieman will go after the DC at Wyoming (Hazelton). Wasn't he the rumored guy back when Klieman was putting his staff together? I also wouldn't mind seeing Seiler filling that spot, under Klieman's tutelage.
