Checking in with the Dimels
UTEP last won a football game in 2016, and this weekend didn't change that as new head coach Dana Dimel lost to FCS Northern Arizona 30-10 who went 7-6 last year in the Big Sky conference.
Star transfer Winston Dimel had 1 carry for 1 yard and 2 receptions for 10 yards and he also lost a fumble. Probably not a good start for his chance at the NFL.

He has no chance at the NFL. Yesterday didn't change that in any way.
In a perfect world, everyone would choose hard work, morals and ethics over obscene money and fame. And everyone outside of Lowrents would be required to be a red blooded, card carrying Payhawk hater.

I'm surprised he had only one carry.

Didn't care for how his dad ran plays for him, at the expense of Warmack and Silmon, but I believe Winston will be in the NFL.

I think Winston will be brought in by a team at some point in the off/preseason, but FB is a dying position in the NFL and for that reason, I doubt he'll make it onto a 53-man roster.

The title of this thread sounds like a reality show. Maybe ESPN could make this a weekly feature as sonny pursues an NFL career and Dad faces the challenges of a first year head coach.

Gonna take a snap shot of this and show it to you when he's on a roster this time next year.epicsnyder wrote: ↑September 2nd, 2018, 10:49 pmHe has no chance at the NFL. Yesterday didn't change that in any way.
I did it with Lockett & Pringle. It was said, by "fans" that Lockett's hands were too small and he doesn't catch with his hands, after we lost to Auburn. He's too small, etc, etc. I said he's gonna make it based on talent & work ethic. With regard to Pringle, it was said he can't catch, when in reality we had an inaccurate passer when he was dropping it. Andy Reid said he'd made the 53 before injury and I'm sure he'd made a mark this season. He may never be a Chief, due to rules, but the kid will be in the league. Dimel is as talented as Anthony Sherman, FB for the Chiefs. He has a great shot IMO.
