You can now embed youtube videos directly in the thread

Folks, you can now embed youtube videos directly in the thread. Thank stalecheetos for the idea.

It's quite easy, just select the "youtube" option in the purple tabs at the top of the new post window, or use standard BBCode formatting: [youtube]VIDEO URL GOES HERE[/youtube]

The important thing to remember is that you'll just be copying the URL from your browser's URL bar, not using the actual embed code that youtube provides.

For example, to embed the below video, I used this code:

Very cool. Here's the video I did to extend the olive branch to goemaw.com. Notice a reference to fatty (who we lost in 2012) as well as my father (another Wildcat we lost in 2012):

Now that I'm pretty much over all that garbage, I may talk freely about it sometime. I think losing fatty and my father in the same year made me a bit mellower. Bottom line, they were doing what they do, I was getting butt-cramped about it, and it escalated. I behaved in ways I should not have, still kind of embarrassed about it, but in the end we're all Wildcats and all is good.

Awesome! One of the great things of an independent site is the ability to change it to fit the group. The embeded youtube videos using the URL is a much cleaner solution than the embed code as well!

I'm loving the Image pasting with the "IMG" link. So easy to use. The URL link is easier too
