You were correct. My fear was wrong.

As the Draft moves into Round 6, I am still holding out hope that Pringle gets drafted. Unfortunately, there are still a lot of good receivers (including Lazard) who have not been picked yet.

Being 25 years old is probably not going to help him any. I'm not sure Byron wouldn't be better off as a free agent and being able to pick and choose a little, than being a 7th round pick.

True. And with his size and speed, he should be able to latch on to a team, even if he plays on special teams. The knock on him was that he was "unpolished" and dropped a lot of balls that hit him in the hands. Those are things that can be worked on, fortunately.

Outside of the OSU game when he had a career showing, he was way to inconsistent and virtually disappeared in too many games. Did he play against ISU or Charlotte? 0 yds in both games. 28 against Texas. 25 Vandy, 28 WVU and 19 against UCLA. Those numbers are far from "draft producing".

He'll have a tough time making the Chiefs I believe, but who knows, De'anthony Thomas is coming off a ACL & Chris Conley is coming off of an Achilles injury so maybe he has a shot.

Pringle must not have been fond of going to class, because I didn't feel like he had a breakout type of season last year.

I totally wish him the best.

If Pringle has a bad spell of the drops in preseason, then I will believe he has bad hands. Until then, I believe he went from receiving inaccurate passes to more accurate passes, from 3 different QBs.

As far as not liking school???, I believe he graduated, is 25, and has kids. It's obviously time to earn some money.

I agree with everything you wrote. I also don't think him playing another year at KSU would have helped him, given he is 25 already. His clock is ticking and every NFL year counts. If he was 22-23, I'd think differently. But at 25, and he waited another year entering the draft at 26 as a rookie at WR is tough. He might have 3-4 years max before he starts losing his physical edge.
