KSU target, 2023 Jaden Hamm from Eudora KS committed to Arkansas. Was the #3 player in Kansas.

I wonder how much the current uncertainty of the future of the Big 12 and conference realignment played into his decision since he also had offers from KU and ISU. If he is in the class of 2023, he still has time to change his mind, especially if the Big 12's future comes into clearer focus over the next year or so.KsJoey wrote: ↑August 15th, 2021, 9:36 amKSU target, 2023 Jaden Hamm from Eudora KS committed to Arkansas. According to KSO forums, Hamm was virtually a lock to KSU. But with the realignment stuff he wanted to ensure himself playing at a top conference.stlcatfan wrote: ↑August 15th, 2021, 11:25 amI wonder how much the current uncertainty of the future of the Big 12 and conference realignment played into his decision since he also had offers from KU and ISU. A 2023 verbal commitment is far from solid. Not saying he will flip, but there is a lot of time between now and when they sign. Can't blame a kid for securing a spot now.KsJoey wrote: ↑August 16th, 2021, 2:08 pmAccording to KSO forums, Hamm was virtually a lock to KSU. Agreed. I'm hopeful some type of conference clarity will come for KSU, which might flip a guy like this down the road. But with the GOR expiring in 2025, it may not be anytime soon either.

Going to be tough, these kids are seeing the uncertainty and grabbing these SEC or whatever offers. Going to be really difficult for our staff to recruit these highly rated kids with the conference uncertainty. Hope they are coming up with a plan.

They were struggling before all the latest realignment news broke though.
