I have been reading so much crap that it got me wondering what the conference breakdown is vs the SEC since the narrative is that them and the Big 10 are miles better. Sure, the top two teams might be, but overall? Nope. Anyway, I just went back a decade and did some math and since 2015, here is the power conference results vs the SEC.
Big 12: 23-23 overall with only two years below .500. We had one bad year or we'd be up, overall.
Big 10: 16-28
ACC: 43-59
Pac12: 7-12
*Hmmm.... Somebody with connections to ESPN, please point this out to them that the Big 12 is .500 vs the SEC and the Pac12 and Big 10 combined, now that they have merged, are a staggering 23-40 vs the SEC. It's clearly $ driven with what is happening and they don't care about keeping an even playing field. I'll say it again, the only way this thing is fair is if all 4 power conferences get 3 bids for 12 teams, G5 gets 2 at large, for 14, and then 2 more at large after that for 16 teams, or keep it at 12 and all power 4 get 2 in, with 1 G5 at large, and 3 at large, but every power conference should be represented with at least 2 teams, imo, so that the talent doesn't all flock to one or two conferences, which is what they want to happen.
