Another middle of the night away game

Post by Wyldkatz » September 30th, 2024, 12:39 pm

9:15 PM cst. Hope we play better than we did last time after dark. CU has 4 really good really fast receivers and our zone coverage defense has been terrible. I'm concerned. Hope we shore up our zone defense during this bye week. It will be a high scoring affair.

Keep running the football, and unleash the blitz on Shadeur and their poor pass blocking and we will be fine, imo. We are more physical and should score 35-40 points in this one if we don't try to be too cute. I'm already sick of hearing about post bye week performances and late starts. Wanna be a champion? Develop a tougher mentality!!! That would be my message as a staff to my team. Relish the bye week, commit to being "ready" after a week off, and welcome another late game as an opportunity to redeem yourselves.

ESPN FPI now gives Colorado the 2nd best odds to win the Big 12

It also has CU favored in every game the rest of the year except K-State

I was afraid this would happen.....gives the CU fans a chance to get lathered-up. Would've preferred an 11am kick.
Besides, this cuts into my sleep time.

Got to win road games if you want to be a Champion. Don't ever give up, you have to give 100% effort with no breakdowns on offense, defense or special teams. No mental lapses, can't have one bad play turn into two, three, or four more. We can do this.. Go Cats!!

Yep. I hope our players have a tougher mentality than our fanbase. The whining about the gametime is already getting annoying as heck.

I’m not a gambler but if there’s a place to place a bet on them to lose more than one game the rest the way I’d take that bet as I don’t see it as gambling but almost robbery. They have to go to Arizona and Tech and have games against Utah, OSU. I don’t see them favored in any of those. I’ll say 1-3 at best in those 4 alone.

The only thing I don't like about these late night kickoffs is that it disrupts a team's weekly routine. Otherwise - Go 'Cats and kick some Buff butt!

I have no real problem with them playing late, it's just a matter of pacing myself. That's a long day of beer drinking :D .

This weekend is a bye week. If our players are not adequately rested, restored and ready for Colorado, then we are pretty pitiful.

Buffs have some players who can have big plays, but so do we. Who wins the trench wars will have a big bearing on who wins. Also, I think our special teams will have a winning impact on the game.
