This was my thought, too, along with some possible tampering from other programs. College players are now the freest of free agents so this will continue to get worse until the NCAA finally does something to regulate the situation.

I was just checking scores and noticed that UNLV is leading Fresno State 21-0 right before halftime. UNLV's (new) starting QB is 7/9 with 80 passing yards and a touchdown, along with 44 rushing yards and a TD. I believe UNLV had a RB quit on them, too, but they have 115 yards rushing in the first half.
Those two may not be missed as much as they thought they would be.
Edit to update: UNLV won 59-14. The QB (Williams) finished with three TD passes along with 119 yards in rushing.
