I read a paper occasionally when I'm traveling & they have one at a hotel for free. But as far as daily perusing of a local newspaper, I would not be something that would be in my routine. I get my news via online news sites from Kansas or other information sources.

I subscribe to online KC Star and Manhattan Mercury.

Get the county weekly paper in the mail for local news.

I also subscribe online to two agricultural weekly papers.

I only get news online including the Topeka Capital, if you can call what they offer news. Yup, I'm an old guy too.

The internet has changed so many things we once took for granted. Asking about an actual newspaper is like asking if you still own a landline...., the price of postage stamps..... do you still use a checkbook....., where to find the nearest payphone.....?
