without reading yours ...

1. i obviously didn't pray hard enough at 4:30 mass - this one's on me;
2. liars use stats, so here you go: k-state yards 367 byu 241, ran 72 plays to the cougs 48;
3. until dj's fumble i thought we had the game in-hand;
4. jayce, keagan, garrett were targeted 16 times and made 11 receptions - good to see oakley out there;
5. tennent was 3 for 3 - yep, all 9 points;
6. byu atmosphere was outrageously good and resulted in several k-state penalties;
7. game time and altitude may have contributed but that's a lame excuse for a horrible, fumbling, mumbling performance;
8. defensive backs continue to disappoint - like half are playing zone, the others man;
9. avery looked like a youngster out there, oh wait - i kept screaming "run the damn ball!";
10. klieman's annual wtf game? probably - they'll be ready for the pokes, but it won't mean quite as much, umm, maybe more?

Talk about a gang tackle @tmcats - That's the illustration in the dictionary. Reviewing the box score, I looked at the stats & noticed K-State was way ahead of BYU in several critical categories: yards allowed on D, offensive yards favored the Wildcats. The only stat that BYU dominated was turnovers- KSU (3) BYU (0). And also penalty yards, KSU (8 for 50) BYU (2 for 20). Bottom line BYU's offense was very efficient & KSU was not: BYU (4) TDs to KSUs (0) TDs. Stupid penalties wiped a couple touchdowns off the board for K-State and drives ended up as field goals instead of touchdowns.

Also, stupid play calling. We were running it down their throat, up 3-0. We got it to 2nd and 5 inside the 10 yard line, and threw it twice instead of just finishing a dominate drive.. We were averaging like 10 yds per carry at that point. I was so pissed at watching that buffoonery. Our OC effed that drive up, settled for another fg when we should have been up 10-0. That gave them life. Can't wait until after the bye week so we can see another head scratching performance from this staff. These complete garbage games are becoming all too regular from this staff.

Win conference and all is well…. What is so hard to understand do NFL teams pack it in with a loss it happens we were snake bit all night from the last two minutes of the first half end of story.. we lost might as well give up go home sit on couch and watch tv… :rofl:
Not hard to understand at all. They just have to rely on other teams (2) to knock off byu now. We have seen a boatload of excuses in this thread (bad luck, road game, altitude, officiating, etc.). Well, guess what, they still have road games with some meanie crowds that yell and everything. They even have to travel to Boulder (higher altitude) to face the buffs. Maybe Kansas will beat them (if they play them).
I don't believe altitude had anything to do with the loss.
Western Kansas is as high in altitude as BYU's campus. If they believe altitude had an impact, perhaps they could train in Kanorado for a few days before the next BYU game. :D

It was the perfect storm for this game. Late at night in Provo, white out. Etc.. and every damn thing bounced their way. Fumbles, dropsies, penalties, interceptions and a frigging muffed punt that bounced right back into his hands almost like the scoop and score.
Then the play calling didn't help. Turn loose Avery or there will be more like this. And go with what's working for christ sakes.

Tomcats, #10 is the most right on. Our annual Turd Game.
It seems most pundits on giving the defense unit a B performance grade. They give the offense and defense Fs. Interesting that the defense is the only unit lead by a veteran coordinator.

Our game plan last week at BYU

I read last Lieopold of KU noted how much higher the average player age than KU's player age. Did we just get beat by an older, stronger and experienced team?

i don't know. clearly our youngsters did not rise to the occasion. they did not handle adversity. they didn't handle the crowd. the environment. i put some of that off to youth, yes. whether byu's age has anything to due with it, i doubt. this was about k-state, not the cougs.
