Re: national games ...
national game thoughts:
1. texas did to michigan exactly as i had thought, boatrace;
2. N did to colorado exactly as i had thought, boatrace;
3. will continues to carry ohio state: 18 of 26 for 292, no interceptions;
4. overrated oregon struggles again just getting by boise 37-34;
5. nd proves these are youngsters losing to northern illinois 16-14;
6. tennessee thumps nc state by 41 - vols maybe elite;
7. syracuse over georgia tech showing how bad fsu is this year:
8. missouri put 38 on buffalo - let's see how they fair v. bc next;
9. penn state struggles to beat bowling green - it's the focus thing again;
10. and look out for indiana to cause some heartburn after putting 77 on directional illinois.

Perusing the squawk boards , it seems the hype train is ( temporarily) off the tracks after the debacle in Illinois , but it will only require a quick OC change to some young coach in house to get a promotion and the playoffs and Daniels Heisman will back in play.

the narrative here about losing andy kotelnicki is starting to prove accurate. he may have been for leipold as chris petersen was to dan hawkins. remember, dan was a rising star at boise, went to cu without chris, and became an epic fail. andy had been with lance for over a decade. he's clearly an outstanding o'coordinator. so it is going to be interesting now to see how this plays out. lance is famous for saying: we will run the ku offense. umm...wazucat wrote: ↑September 9th, 2024, 1:13 pmPerusing the squawk boards , it seems the hype train is ( temporarily) off the tracks after the debacle in Illinois , but it will only require a quick OC change to some young coach in house to get a promotion and the playoffs and Daniels Heisman will back in play.

IMO, the most controversial call of the weekend. LSU at South Carolina - A South Carolina pick 6 is called back for what I thought was a legal/good block on the LSU QB. The LSU QB took a couple of steps in pursuit before he got leveled.

Good point about Tulane dealing with the hurricane. In spite of that, it was a five-point game (24-19) with just over six minutes left in the 4th quarter. OU got a couple late scores to make it look better for them.

Good post tm. Spot on about Kelly, he is an incredible d-bag. My opinion he was a perfect fit at nd. Was so easy to root against both there.
Yep huskers pretty easy sledding until ohio st. Afraid rhule going to turn them good.

4. 400 sellouts celebration turns properly sour;
5. games decided by single digits at N
Bo Pelini 20-11
Bill Callahan 10-7
Mike Riley 7-10
Scott Frost 5-22
Matt Rhule 1-6
