I am sure their boards are populated with posters already thinking Big 10 Championship. As soon as he butts head with a wealthy donor, he's gone. Baylor will be looking for a coach soon,

Utah. Of course, like 5 SEC teams. Sorry, but this is getting old. The Big 12 really needs 2 teams to go a minimum of 11-1, so we get 2 in, and then do damage. Time to earn some respect!!
This is the problem. The "and then do damage" part. That has yet to happen. The Big XII is not respected because the conference members haven't earned it. Any of it. What has the Big XII done on the football field against the big boys? Get their asses kicked. Over and over and over again. So,................there is NO respect there because nobody has EARNED any. Until someone from this conference rises up and FIANLLY takes care of business, nobody is going to care about the conference. TCU's victory over Michigan doesn't mean anything after getting boat raced by Georgia. That is all anyone remembers about it. The $EC beating the piss out of the Big XII. Again.
So until that happens, ,he strongest conference in the country will and should continue to get more attention. Like it or not, it's the reality of it.
I don't disagree fully, but my only argument would be that we aren't talking about the entire SEC. Sure, Georgia and Bama have clearly been better than everyone for many years, LSU had one great team, Florida was good 15 years ago, but other than that, the results from that league are nothing special. Who cares about Ole Miss, Miss State, Vandy, S. Carolina, Mizzou, A&M, Auburn, etc. We have beaten Mizzou, LSU, Mississippi State, A&M all in the last ten years and yet get no props for that, but lose to Bama when Coach K took a few chances that I kind of wish he hadn't taken to try and keep that game closer for as long as possible to give us a chance late, but we have been fine against the SEC other than against the very best teams at the top.
I just don't need to hear 12 schools bragged about like they are something special when they are just riding the coattails of two dominant schools and a couple of others that have had one great year.

These early season rankings discount the level of Big 12 play thus far in the out of conference schedule vs. the SEC & B1G. Big 12 teams need to clean up against every other nin-conference opponent they can. And for the most part, Big 12 teams have done fairly well against non-Big12 teams.

Of course we're playing at 11am after last Saturday. Thankfully it's on ESPN rather than the (+).

Surprised Iowa State is ranked that high when they've played absolutely nobody, and that includes Iowa.
