They are very similar to us, mission and culture-wise. Who knows? With the way things are trending in conference realignment, we may be conference mates with them one day.

Yes, you never hear anything negative about their program, and they are similar to us in many ways... Not the highest rated players but very competitive and well coached... their fanbase, just like us and Nebraska are great folks who generally are not obnoxious. Would just love to see them whip Tennessee in the 2nd week. Tennessee has one of the most unlikable and arrogant fanbases in CFB.

Nebraska fans not obnoxious? I strongly disagree! Seriously, they are very obnoxious. I've been to 9 or 10 games up there and the closer we got to beating them, the more shit talking and arrogant they were to me and my family. They were soooo nice when beating us by 40, but absolute jerks when we started getting some national attention. Can't stand them. Watching them descend to a below average program has been awesome!! They needed some serious humble pie. Now, NU college students don't remember a conference title. Sweet justice!!

What a crock if Will Stayed he would not even be on the national radar, yet because he is now at ohcryostate he is the Number one best player it’s all a show but I hope all the best for him but have my own team to worry about and cheer on… and favorite guys to hope for..

On the WVU Big 12 board, Texas Jeremy posted the ESPN Preseason Top 100 Players. Of course several OSU players were on the list, but I didn't see Will's name mentioned. Avery came in at #93.

I'm in no way trying to tell people what to do, just wishing out loud. I really wish all of the talk about Will Howard would just go away. I think it's very counter productive and gets disrespectful, at times. I don't want to disrespect Will or what he did for KSU, but it's time to move on. I wish him well, but honestly, I don't give a rip about Ohio State, and this continued focus on Will will just turn into another pro Weber vs. con Weber type of argument to turn KSU fans on one another. I just wish people could wish him well and leave it at that. I'm gonna focus 100% on AJ and the current CATS!

Are preseason polls typically a projection of end of season finishes or current power ratings or a combination of both or other factors? I wish the criteria for these polls were more defined. Now, getting people to follow that is tough but atleast you’d have semi-meaningful discussions about where teams are slotted.

I know polls are very subjective because every voter has their own criteria but they do matter as we’ve seen in years past. A top 10 team loses, drops to 21 then wins and they are back to 16 at 1-1 whereas the path is much more difficult from the outside.
