I read on twitter that ESPN did their college football preview show last night and only had one Big 12 team projected for the 12 team playoff. Utah. Of course, like 5 SEC teams. Sorry, but this is getting old. The Big 12 really needs 2 teams to go a minimum of 11-1, so we get 2 in, and then do damage. Time to earn some respect!!

18. Kansas State (1-0)

Week 1 result: Defeated Tennessee-Martin, 41-6

Kansas State gave the Skyhawks the kind of butt-kicking a pay guarantee should buy. That it came with a fifth-straight 100-yard rushing game from DJ Giddens and a rushing TD from former Colorado running back Dylan Edwards is an added bonus.

:agree:  THIS!!!

This is the problem. The "and then do damage" part. That has yet to happen. The Big XII is not respected because the conference members haven't earned it. Any of it. What has the Big XII done on the football field against the big boys? Get their asses kicked. Over and over and over again. So,................there is NO respect there because nobody has EARNED any. Until someone from this conference rises up and FIANLLY takes care of business, nobody is going to care about the conference. TCU's victory over Michigan doesn't mean anything after getting boat raced by Georgia. That is all anyone remembers about it. The $EC beating the piss out of the Big XII. Again.

So until that happens, the strongest conference in the country will and should continue to get more attention. Like it or not, it's the reality of it.
In a perfect world, everyone would choose hard work, morals and ethics over obscene money and fame. And everyone outside of Lowrents would be required to be a red blooded, card carrying Payhawk hater.

Talk about a Big10/SEC wet dream. Sheesh. Not sure how the Cats jumped up three spots, but ok.

perhaps if missouri continued to play creampuffs, they'd eventually be #1? to me, oregon and ou are too highly ranked for their performance thus far. ou fans probably angry venables ran off dillion to oregon. some irony at play with that one. and i suppose it's fine iowa state, northern illinois and boston college are on the list given their early wins. but frankly, i'm not sure. we'll see. the texas/uga game in austin is going to be this year's game of the year, says captain obvious.

And the Nubbers at 23? I like Coach Rhule, and I am sure the Ns are loving him too...until he loses a game. I am sure their boards are populated with posters already thinking Big 10 Championship. As soon as he butts head with a wealthy donor, he's gone. Baylor will be looking for a coach soon,
