THE OSU will go either 11-1 or 10-2 IMO. Only question marks I see on the schedule are Oregon and Michigan games.

I know very little about any of those teams, but I can see them tripping up against Oregon. It is a home game for the Ducks, and that is long travel weekend for them. The nubbers could be a surprise this season. I like Matt Rhule, but he coaches for the nubbers--I'd bet on them to cover.
Seeing that they have NINE home games, it sure makes me think that Michigan and Ohio State are set up to win the Big10 every other year, more specifically, the one set up to win is the home team that game.
As long as Will Howard is the starting QB, I will cheer for them, and I think they could run the table. But if Howard is not the starter and primary QB, I am gonna find it hard to work up any interest in them at all.

My interest is in Will piloting this team.... He has been handed the keys to a lamborghini and I am so happy for him. I cannot see this team losing a game, although Oregon might trip them up. Their defense alone is suffocating and with the addition of Caleb Downs will be even better this year. Will's offense is a dream made in heaven with arguablly the best 2 RB's in cfb..... WR"s are incredible and they say a true freshmen, Jeremiah Smith, is one of the best ever. Only question is OL but with Chip Kelley they'll have that ironed out. My prediction: 12-0, maybe 11-1.

ohio should go undefeated and win the national championship. they have purchased an outstanding roster. they have a seasoned quarterback and a splendid coaching staff. while michigan is in transition. so i don't see them being a threat. at oregon and penn state are the the bucks most serious opponents.
as i've written before, i'm most anxious to see what effect andy kotelnicki has at penn state. the lions are my sleeper in that conference because of his addition. his offense is like trying to corral a husk of jackrabbits in an open pasture. .

The Buckeyes have one of the best teams money can buy, they probably rival the Sooners of the '70's in that regard

i've told this story many times. working oklahoma back in the 80s, i'm talking to this oSu booster about the conference which i knew little at the time. of course, smu comes up. then he laughs. "ya know, we offered sims $250,000 and new car. he laughed at us and signed with ou the next day." it was really bad back then. i'd just moved to dallas. what an awakening coming from indiana being an irish and hoosier fan.wazucat wrote: ↑June 11th, 2024, 4:55 pmtmcats wrote: ↑June 11th, 2024, 9:38 amohio should go undefeated and win the national championship. they have purchased an outstanding roster. they have a seasoned quarterback and a splendid coaching staff. while michigan is in transition. so i don't see them being a threat. at oregon and penn state are the the bucks most serious opponents.

The saying was that Eric Dickerson had to take a pay cut going from SMU to the NFL.
There’s a 30 for 30 on ESPN called Pony Excess about the cheating going on at SMU and the SWC. It lead to the break up of the SWC and also the formation of the BIG12.

That for me was the most interesting, informative, eye opening, documentary of any of the 30 for 30s. It makes what Snyder did even more impressive.
