Some are predicting that when the portal re-opens tomorrow, it could get pretty crazy now that the courts have basically allowed players to transfer as many times as they want without having to sit out. It's also expected that there has been a LOT of tampering going on across the country, with promises of more NIL money if the player transfers to their school.
I hope for the sake of NIL collectives around the country, that they put stipulations on the money they gave to the kids. A kid could transfer in at semester, do the winter conditioning, spring practices, etc., then transfer (with the NIL money) without playing a down for that school.

two i'll miss but probably not for long are r.j. garcia and nate matlock. i suspect both looked at what was around them and decided to go elsewhere. likewise, i'm sure we will see some attrition shortly as others find themselves buried on the depth chart after spring ball.

I think I’m noticing a trend, the guys that transfer up from smaller schools seem to be highly successful….the guys that transfer from p5/p4 to other p5/p4 schools don’t seem to be as good. Am I wrong? Losing Banks still hurts tho.

The weird thing about Banks is that he came in last year listed at 285 and played NG but coming in to the spring he was listed at 255?? No way he can play NG at 255. And we are absolutely stacked on the outside. I know we are looking at playing some with three DE's on the field at the same time with a NG and one of those will have to be a bigger guy, but with Stufflebean, Chidi, etc, not sure there was much field time left for Banks.
