Before Kleiman was hired , did we consider hiring former KSU QB's?

GROGAN or STAN WEBER?

Before you laugh consider Oklahoma state. Look at our offense. A former qb can usually coach guys up and tell if a guy has STUFF.

It would have been risky but again...........look at Ok.State.

Well, unless you don't consider Collin Klein as a QB, this thread is meaningless.

This is a joke right? Gundy was coaching for 11 years before OSU hired him as their HC. He rose through the ranks like any coach should. Klein and Waters are assistants at KSU and ISU and Bishop is coaching HS football in TX I believe. Weber is a radio broadcast guy with no coaching experience and he hasn't played since college. Grogan is 68 years old. After playing for the Patriots he couldn't find a job above the HS level to coach and instead runs a sporting goods store. If he couldn't find a gig right after playing the NFL, what good is he now that he is 68 and hasn't done anything but run a business?

1990 Oklahoma State (WR)
1991–1993 Oklahoma State (QB)
1994–1995 Oklahoma State (OC/QB)
1996 Baylor (PGC/QB)
1997–1999 Maryland (WR)
2000 Maryland (PGC/QB)
2001–2004 Oklahoma State (AHC/OC)
2005–present Oklahoma State

This is like the suggestion of hiring Gottlieb as our MBB HC

I know you're thinking why i posted this. It's just I think a head coach who can handle the most important position and the offense just seems to make sense.

Isn't Michael Bishop a high school HC in Texas? Maybe we should see about bringing him on as a QB coach. I'm not a fan of giving the keys to Snyder's old office to anyone, former QB or not, that doesn't at least have either elite D1 coordinator experience, or really good HC experience at a lower level.

Better check Grogans age. I believe he's much older. Just saying.

Yeah, and in his earlier years it doesn't sound like anyone had interest in his coaching abilities.
