Christmas Gift For Coach Klieman - A Rule Book

Post by WildcatEngineer » November 28th, 2021, 4:49 pm

1. Coach NEVER EVER should have allowed the OU Onside Kick to be reviewed a 2nd time. Not to be a jerk, but Snyder would have been 1/3 of the way onto the field with the headset cord pulling him back. He would have made sure the White Hat heard him and told the White Hat the exact rule "A reviewed play cannot be reviewed".
2. Against Texas on the Field Goal before the half he would of had Sean slow walk the subs onto the field and allowed the clock to run out.

Coach Klieman is a good Coach, but he needs to take some lessons on the rules.

the texas loss was so on the coaching staff. and not slow-walking the field goal attempt was yet one more example. this staff was sound asleep on that one.

Can we add in that coaches are allowed to challenge a spot? You know, like against UT when it looked like the 3rd down got the 1st down prior to the 4th down being stuffed? At the very least it would have allowed for time to get the right 4th down call in.

You all have realized that we were not allowed to "slow walk" our defensive subs on the field at the end of the half to stop the field goal, a number of referee's have said as much. That rule was put in to allow the defense to substitute to match up to offensive substitutions, but in that FG situation, the expectation is that everyone knows what the offense is doing, so waiting for the defense to get the subs in is not allowed in that situation.

Our coaches sucked Saturday, but that is not one of the reasons why. The rules did not allow for us to slow walk subs into the game at that point,.

Yes,,,the refs just would have stopped the clock or possibly give KSU a delay of game penalty.

As far as the spot goes...they are only overturned when it is obvious. The spot is seldomly overturned, but it does happen. Cats did get a poor spot, but was it obviously enough for a first down?

GOR, you might be correct, but I cannot find that exception. Please help me.

Oh and it would not have taken much of a delay, like 2 seconds.
