Stop OSUs running game and they can be beat. They don't have the same stud WRs they have had in the past and Sanders isn't much of a passing threat.

On a related note, USC blew out Washington St. to go to 2-1.

OSU is anything but impressive.

5 point win over Tulsa who is 0-3 and lost to FCS UC Davis.

7 point win over FCS Missouri State who got the ball down to the OSU 26 with a chance to tie but got sacked.

1 point win over Boise State who had a chance to take the lead with 2 minutes left but missed a 36 yard field goal.

I looked at the Gamecast and it looked like both teams struggled late... fumble, interception, punts, and a missed field goal.

We will still need to play well to beat oSu. They will likely force us to beat them through the air. Our QBs need to pass the ball enough to at least keep oSu's defense honest.

True, but I think Big 12 teams typically play at another level for their conference games. I'm go glad we made it through our non-con undefeated this year, because I feel like we usually don't play up to our potential for those games. I have some high hopes for us this year. IMO, every game is very winnable if we get half decent qb play from whoever starts.

Contrast that to KSUs wins:

17 point win over 2-1 Stanford.
8 point win over 2-1 FCS Southern Illinois, ranked #8 in FCS
21 point win over 2-1 Nevada

*Missouri State is 1-1 and ranked #17 in FCS

Southern Illinois beat Dayton 55-3. FWIW, each of the three teams we have beaten this season have played well in their other two games. I think this speaks well of how good our team has been so far.

Kansas State will go as far as our OL will take us this year, and they are pretty damn good. Our defense has been really strong and deserves a ton of credit, but what will tell how far this team will go will come down to OL play in the B12.

I think we are getting "serviceable" QB play with enough of a passing threat that we can still run the ball. We're going to have to throw the ball 15-20 times a game IMO (regardless of who is playing QB), and if we can be around that 60% completion rate and 150 yards of passing, that's good enough given what we have done thus far. We've shown that if defenses just sell out to stop the run, that we can burn them deep for a score. No, Will and Jaren passes haven't always been pretty, but they have been good enough defenses have to respect it and that is all that matters.

Beat OSU.
